What is the history of Troy Cosmetic Surgery?
In 1998, Dr. Schloemer began doing cosmetic procedures of the face using fillers, laser resurfacing and Botox. In 2000 a new facility was built at 101 Pecan Street in Troy, AL as Light Years Away Cosmetic Surgery P.C. After training, breast Augmentation and liposuction was offered. In 2002, breast reduction and abdominoplasty at Troy Regional Medical Center and fat transfer procedures were begun. Later, mastopexy and breast lifts over implants and minimal incision face lifts were started. In 2005 Dr. Schloemer started doing the liposuction and skin tuck later called the Combituck(tm). In 2007 the name was changed to Troy Cosmetic Surgery P.C. By 2011 there have over 2700 cases performed at our clinic. In the past 12 years there have been no deaths or emergency transfers of patients treated here. In 2011. He has performed over 1800 liposuction cases. Dr. Schloemer passed the peer review of 1000 cases performed in the preceding 6 years and sat for the two day examination in Chicago. In June he learned that he was Board Certified in Breast, Body and Extremity Cosmetic Surgery by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. In September Troy Cosmetic Surgery was Accredited by the AAAHC.
